Brompton Bike Hire
From as little as £3.50 a day you can hire a folding bike from Brompton Docks located around Birmingham City Centre:

Free one-day bike hire
If you’re a Birmingham resident and a Leisure Card holder (A free card available to Birmingham residents to access council run gyms, pools and cycle centres), you can access free bike hire at a number of centres across the city.
This offer is part of Big Birmingham Bikes and Birmingham Cycle Revolution, ground-breaking initiatives aimed at getting people of all ages and abilities into cycling within a 20-minute cycling time of Birmingham City Centre.

Cycling Clubs
If you’re interested in getting together with other cycling like-minded people – this is the list for you! Local cycling clubs from beginner to competitive are listed below. It is best to contact the club directly to find out more information on their rides before heading out.
Wheels for All – These are special sessions for people with special needs and physical disabilities. Trained leaders help participants use adapted bikes in a fun and social environment. To date, sessions are scheduled in Coventry, Solihull and Small Heath.
Vista – The Coventry Visually Impaired and Sighted Tandem Association organises fun rides and social events for those who are visually impaired.
Breeze Rides – The Breeze Program from British Cycling is aimed to encourage women to start riding. These friendly and fun rides are aimed for beginners and those who are new to cycling.
Let's Ride – social rides for all levels, distance and abilities!
Heart of England Cycling Club – Based out of South Birmingham, Warwickshire, Worcestershire, this group organises longer rides at moderate pace (12-13 mph) as well as more slower paced (9 mph) on quieter roads in the country side.
Halesowen Cycling Club – This is a competitive and racing club where British Cycling Team members and Olympic athletes Jess Varnish and Helen Scott have trained previously.
Beacon Roads Cycling Club – A cycling club based out of South Birmingham for over 60 years that organises rides for different levels, although you do need to be comfortable to ride 20-30 miles at 10mph.
Coventry Road Club – Cycling club that runs rides at different levels, with slowest pace being 12-14 mph.
CTC – Coventry – Touring based club that is affiliated with Cycling UK.
Earlson Wheelers – Touring based club that organises rides from 20-50 miles around the area.
Godiva Trailriders – A group that rides mountain bike and more rugged terrain.
Longbridge Cycling Club – Local cycling club that organises rides at more leisure paces of 10-12 mph. Their focus is a fun, social non-competitive riding.
Nuneaton CTC Cycle Club – Touring based club that organises rides 3 times a week of about 30 miles.
Solihull Cycling Club – Cycling club since 1929 that organises fast paced rides to more social leisure rides.
Cycle Solihull – Provides local cycle route information and organises rides from 10-30 miles including more family focused rides.
StourBug – Affiliated with Cycling UK (formerly CTC) and with over 300 members, this club organises social rides (typically at the pace of the slowest rider, 8mph) as well as mountain bike rides.
Bourneville Gentle Cycling – organised by Push Bikes, this is a group for beginner riders, with routes of about 10 miles to help people get started with riding.
Handsworth Community Cycle Club - Affiliated with Cycling UK, the group offers learn to ride sessions and leisure rides for beginners and familes.
