NHS Travel
Transport for West Midlands (TfWM) are continuing to provide free shuttle services, or services on-demand in some locations, to support hospital staff getting to and from work, the details of which are shown below.
TfWM would like to take this opportunity to thank you for using local transport services and for your personal contribution as an NHS or key worker in supporting our local communities in the fight against the Coronavirus.
Free shuttle services from park and ride sites
Free shuttle services continue to operate from some of the regions park and ride sites, metro stops and rail stations.
- To ensure social distancing each shuttle will carry a maximum of 3 passengers.
- Shuttles will move between the pickup point and the NHS site regularly during stated operating hours.
- Pick up and drop off locations will be the same in both directions
- These shuttle services will complement the existing public transport network. Use rail or Metro services to connect you to other pick up points.
- Public transport and Timetable information available here.
- Depending on demand we may increase or decrease service levels.
- Services are only available for hospital workers and are not for the general public's use. Please carry a hospital or contractor pass as they may be requested.
- Free parking is available at all other Transport for West Midlands managed Park and Ride sites.
- Why not cycle to the nearest station and park your bike at one of our cycle storage hubs? Find other ways of how you can stay active while practising social distancing here.
- These services remain free of charge, although if you are connecting from a tram or train service you will now need to pay the fare for your journey.
