Supporting local businesses

We've worked with key employers in the area helping to promote sustainable travel to their site. Financial support has been given to businesses to enable them to buy cycle storage and walking equipment. In association with The Ramblers - lunchtime led walks were held for staff along with advice on travelling sustainably in the future.

"MAC - Birmingham was delighted to receive a grant from the Pershore Road Travel Choices project for several MP3 players to enable visitors to access the Amplying the Map park walks created by artists for Cannon Hill Park. These are always available for our customers and we have had a terrific response and this has encouraged them to explore the park by foot in a completely different way. We also purchased bicycle racks for a staff area that is more secure and has encouraged more of our staff to cycle into work rather than using their car."
